Kyiv: Russia plans to freeze war for six months
07 August 2022 16:57
Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak has said that Russia plans to freeze the war for six months to pull more troops and weapons to the front.
The Kremlin expects the West will get tired of supporting Ukraine, Podolyak said in an interview with Tagesspiegel, RBC-Ukraine reports.
He noted that Ukraine must go on the offensive in order to free more territories, especially in the south. This requires more weapons from partners.
"If the West gets tired of the war, then Russia will strike again with all its might," he explained.
Podolyak added that "the more and faster we get heavy weapons, the sooner we can stop this war".
