Kyiv says troops destroyed Russian vehicles, missiles in Kursk region VIDEO
The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that Ukrainian troops carried out a cross-border operation on Russian territory.
According to a statement accompanied by video footage, soldiers from the 73rd Marine Special Operations Center, together with fighters from the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, conducted an ambush on Russian vehicles, Caliber.Az reports via Ukrainian media.
"Special operations behind Russian lines: soldiers from the 73rd Marine Special Operations Center, together with fighters from the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, are once again destroying the enemy on its own territory," the caption reads.
The Ukrainian military said that as a result of the operation, three Russian servicemen and their vehicles were destroyed.
"After completing a series of tasks on enemy territory, the guys returned to Ukraine with the documents and weapons of the destroyed enemy. They also took an autonomous motion sensor, which the Russian FSB border service uses to equip the perimeter of the state border," the statement continued.
The Special Operations Forces further stated that Iskander missiles belonging to Russia’s 448th Missile Brigade were destroyed in the Kursk region.
