Lavrov says US intention to inspect Russian nuclear facilities "unacceptable"
The West is increasingly on the verge of a clash of nuclear powers, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned at a press conference on the results of 2023.
According to him, there are fewer and fewer deterrents to confrontation.
"The US intention to carry out inspections of Russian nuclear facilities is unacceptable," Lavrov added.
Referring to allies, Lavrov said that Iran, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar belong to the close circle of the Russian Federation.
The diplomat stressed that Russia is interested in developing relations not only bilaterally, but also with regional structures created by many of the country's partners.
Lavrov specified that he was referring to the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Persian Gulf, the Arab League, ASEAN, the African Union, the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, and others.
