School attack in Moscow suburb leaves one dead, three injured Attacker arrested / VIDEO
A teenager responsible for a deadly attack at Uspenskaya School in Gorki-2, Odintsovo, near Moscow, has been detained.
According to SHOT, the attacker, wearing a balaclava (ski mask), killed one student and injured three others, including a school security guard. Authorities say he also carried a pepper spray canister.
The incident escalated when the teen locked himself in a classroom with one student as a hostage. Special forces stormed the room, and the hostage was reportedly unharmed. The attacker was later placed into a police vehicle, reportedly without an outer jacket.
All students were evacuated from the school, and emergency services remain on site. Law enforcement officers had been negotiating with the teen before the intervention.
The attack has raised concerns over school security in the Moscow region, and authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
