Armenia–US working group holds inaugural meeting to advance Washington agreements
The first meeting of the Armenia–US working group, focused on implementing the agreements reached during the Washington peace summit on August 8, 2025, was held.
Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan and US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Sonata Coulter underscored the rapidly strengthening strategic partnership between the two nations, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
During the meeting, Kostanyan highlighted the United States’ substantial support in promoting peace and stability in the South Caucasus and reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to actively executing the Memoranda of Understanding signed with the US on August 8, 2025. Discussions centered on several key areas, including the unblocking of regional communications, innovative cooperation in artificial intelligence and semiconductors, and collaboration on energy security.
Both sides acknowledged significant progress in implementing the agreements and agreed to continue discussions to achieve the outlined objectives as promptly as possible.
