Le Monde: Qatari families control fifth of Paris's Champs-Élysées
15 September 2025 18:47
Qatar owns around 20% of the prestigious Champs-Élysées boulevard in central Paris, according to Le Monde, which analysed property records.
More than 390 metres of the 1.3-kilometre avenue belong to Qatari individuals or funds, representing over a fifth of what is often called “the most beautiful avenue in the world.”
“Qatar invests heavily because buildings on the Champs-Élysées are expensive and offer strong returns. It is highly sought-after real estate and one of the safest investments,” said Christian Dubois, Director of Commercial Real Estate in France at Cushman & Wakefield, a major real estate company.
