Lebanon condemns alleged Hezbollah-linked sabotage plot in Kuwait

Lebanon’s Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the alleged sabotage plot linked to Hezbollah in Kuwait, Al Jazeera reports.

The ministry issued the statement after Kuwait’s Interior Ministry announced the arrest of 16 people — 14 Kuwaiti nationals and two Lebanese citizens — suspected of having ties to Hezbollah.

According to Kuwaiti authorities, the group sought to destabilise the country and recruit individuals to join the organisation.

Officials added that security forces seized several weapons, drones equipped with cameras, and communication devices using Morse code.
