Lukashenko calls US Middle East policy "rash adventure”
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has criticised United States actions in the Middle East, describing them as a “rash adventure,” according to remarks made in an interview with RT.
Lukashenko said Washington had “suffered” as a result of its policy towards Iran, and argued that the United States should reconsider its approach in the region.
“The facts on the surface have shown that the Americans must stop,” he said, adding that US policy should take into account the interests of other countries beyond its own strategic priorities.
He also referred to a range of states across the Western Hemisphere, including Greenland, Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, and the Panama Canal, saying they have their own interests that must be respected.
The Belarusian leader further expressed scepticism about the prospect of broad international cooperation in the near future, saying he does not expect countries to act together easily in pursuit of shared global goals.
“God willing, may that time come. Given the current circumstances and situation, it is difficult for me to believe that such a time will come,” he said.
