France reacts sharply to “Oreshnik” missile use in Ukrainian attack

French President Emmanuel Macron has condemned Russia over the use of the “Oreshnik” ballistic missile in a strike on Ukrainian territory.

“France condemns this attack and the use of the ‘Oreshnik’ ballistic missile, which above all demonstrates recklessness and a deadlock [in the conflict in Ukraine],” Macron wrote on his X account.

He also said France’s determination to continue supporting Ukraine and to “do everything possible to establish a just and lasting peace and strengthen Europe’s security” has only increased.
