Majority of US citizens favour swift resolution to Iran confrontation Poll finds
A majority of Americans believe the confrontation with Iran should be ended as soon as possible, regardless of whether the plans of President Donald Trump’s administration are fully achieved.
A Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted between March 26 and 28 found that 66% of US residents support a quick resolution to the conflict, Caliber.Az reports.
By contrast, 27% favour continuing military operations until all objectives are met, while 6% were undecided.
Among Republicans, 40% support an expedited end to military action, whereas 57% prefer a longer campaign.
The survey also highlighted the domestic impact of the conflict, with rising fuel prices — exceeding $4 per gallon — emerging as a significant concern for ordinary Americans.
More than half of respondents expect the conflict to negatively affect their personal finances.
