Ammunition depot blast in Syrian town of Kafr Takharim leaves 5 dead VIDEO / Updated
A massive explosion killed five people and injured nine others in the city of Kafr Takharim in western Idlib on November 26.
The media office of the Internal Security Directorate in Idlib Governorate confirmed that all casualties were employees of the depot, which contained weapons and ammunition, Syria.tv reports.
The office stated in a press release that the explosion was caused by the work of a nearby workshop.
Engineering teams are currently securing the site and dealing with remnants of war. Civil defence teams evacuated the injured to a hospital.

A powerful explosion shook the outskirts of the Syrian town of Kafr Takharim in western Idlib province on November 26.
According to Syria.tv, sources said the blast occurred at an ammunition depot.
The explosion caused significant damage to olive trees in the vicinity of the site.
There have been no reports of casualties.
