Media: Israel prepares for two more weeks of war with Iran
Israel is preparing for the possibility of extending its military campaign against Iran for at least two more weeks, while anticipating a stronger response from the United States following the downing of an American aircraft, according to Israeli TV channel Kan 11.
The broadcaster reported that Israeli authorities are adjusting both military and national planning in expectation of a prolonged confrontation. A scheduled exchange program involving Air Force and Navy officers over the next 10 days has been postponed, and upcoming national observances — including Holocaust Remembrance Day, Memorial Day, and Independence Day — will be conducted under special arrangements.
Sources within Israeli intelligence, cited in the report, indicated that a potential next phase of operations could focus on Iran’s economic infrastructure. Possible targets include key facilities such as bridges, along with assets in the energy and oil sectors.
However, the report noted that US President Donald Trump has not approved the proposed list of targets and has not issued any directive for US participation in strikes against those sites.
