Media: Ukraine, Russia and US reps expected to meet in New York

Representatives of Ukraine, Russia and the United States are expected to meet in New York on Thursday for talks that could include a possible energy ceasefire, Supernova+ reports.

Ukraine is expected to be represented by Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, and Rustem Umerov, head of Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service, according to the report.

Russia’s delegation is expected to include Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian president’s special representative for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries.

The United States is expected to be represented by presidential special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio may also join the talks.

One of the main issues under discussion is expected to be the possibility of an energy ceasefire. The participants may also discuss the prospects for a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the G20 summit.
