Media: Ukraine’s intel destroys key Russian fuel pipeline in Moscow region VIDEO

01 November 2025 11:58

The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine (GUR) has announced that it successfully conducted an operation that destroyed three branches of the Koltsevoy petroleum pipeline located in the Moscow region.

According to the GUR’s official statement, cited by Ukrainian media, on October 31, 2025, Ukrainian intelligence forces disabled what they described as one of Russia’s key military logistics facilities — the Koltsevoy petroleum pipeline.

The agency stated that this infrastructure had been supplying fuel and other resources to the Russian armed forces in support of their “genocidal war against the Ukrainian people.”

The strike reportedly took place in the Ramensky district of the Moscow region. Despite the presence of anti-drone defences and paramilitary guards protecting the site, all three branches of the pipeline — used to transport gasoline, diesel fuel, and aviation fuel — were hit simultaneously and destroyed. GUR emphasised that the attack rendered the entire facility inoperable.

The intelligence service also released a striking video showing the moment of the explosions.

The Koltsevoy main petroleum pipeline extends approximately 400 kilometres and has supplied fuel from the Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod, and Moscow refineries. Before its destruction, the pipeline’s annual capacity was up to 3 million tons of aviation fuel, 2.8 million tons of diesel, and 1.6 million tons of gasoline.

On the same date, October 31, the Ukrainian Navy reported that it had launched Neptune missile strikes against key Russian energy installations — the Oryol Thermal Power Plant (TPP) and the Novobryansk substation — both of which supported the operations of a major Russian defence enterprise.

That day, Vasyl Maliuk, head of Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU), also revealed that Ukrainian Defence Forces had destroyed one of three “Oreshnik” launchers located inside Russia.

Maliuk explained that this success had not been disclosed earlier but confirmed that one of the “Oreshnik” systems was eliminated in the Kapustin Yar area through a joint effort by the GUR, SBU, and Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR).
