Median: Syria to demand $300 billion from Iran
The Syrian administration is working on preparing a memorandum demanding that Iran pay $300 billion in compensation to the Syrian people and state for the damage caused by Tehran's “criminal and arbitrary actions and policies against the Syrian people and infrastructure.”
According to a source close to the new political administration in Syria, the connection between the new Syrian authorities and Iran has been completely cut off and “the new administration has no current plans in the foreseeable future to communicate with Iran, either regarding the opening of the embassy in Damascus or the Iranian consulate in Aleppo,” Caliber.Az reports, citing the Arab news outlet Al-Modon.
Earlier, reports resurfaced online that Syrian Foreign Minister al-Shibani warned Iran against spreading chaos in his country.
