Medvedev: Poles proclaimed partition of Ukraine

Polish President Andrzej Duda officially recognized Warsaw's territorial claims to Ukraine, said Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council. According to him, this is evidenced by the latest statement of the Polish leader, in which he advocated the absence of borders between Poland and Ukraine.

“The Poles proclaimed the division of Ukraine <…> He (Duda) chose a more than suitable reason for this statement - National Constitution Day. The national self-consciousness of the Poles has clearly strengthened against the backdrop of the deepest crisis in the neighboring country. And along with it, territorial appetites are steadily growing. Western Ukraine will be a welcome acquisition for the hungry, a return of the lands of Poland. Of course, under the veil of beautiful words about eternal brotherhood. But what will the resigned Ukrainian neighbor do for the sake of an illusory dream of a happy life under the umbrella of the European Union, ” Medvedev wrote in his Telegram channel.

From the point of view of the deputy chairman of the Security Council, the people of Ukraine should not flatter themselves, since we are talking about the actual annexation of Ukrainian territories by Poland. According to Medvedev, in Warsaw they want to return "historical lands", hiding behind anti-Russian rhetoric.

“It is clear that this imaginary brotherhood will not bring anything to the Ukrainians themselves, except for the final loss of their statehood. Or maybe that's what they want? - summed up the deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
