Ten commercial vessels destroyed in massive fire in southern Iran VIDEO
A fierce fire broke out on the morning of June 12 in Iran’s southern Hormozgan province, engulfing and destroying ten commercial vessels, local authorities confirmed.
The blaze erupted at the Javad al-A’emmeh dock in the village of Bostano, located in Parsian County, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.
The fire reportedly began around 9 a.m. local time and quickly spread across the dock, consuming ten ships moored in the area.
Mehrdad Hassanzadeh, the Director General of the Crisis Management Department in Hormozgan, confirmed the scale of the disaster and said that emergency teams had fully mobilised to bring the flames under control and stop them from spreading further.
“All the logistical resources of the province have been deployed to contain the fire and prevent its expansion,” Hassanzadeh stated.
The cause of the blaze remains unclear, and authorities have launched a full investigation to determine the source of the incident.
