Pakistan urges citizens to avoid non-essential travel to Iran
Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a travel advisory urging its citizens to refrain from non-essential travel to Iran, citing ongoing nationwide protests and heightened security risks.
As Caliber.Az reports, in a statement released on January 10, the ministry said: “For their safety and security, Pakistani nationals are advised to avoid all unnecessary travel to the Islamic Republic of Iran until conditions improve.”
The advisory also addressed Pakistanis currently residing in Iran, calling on them to take precautionary measures. “Pakistani nationals currently residing in Iran are urged to exercise extreme caution, remain vigilant, minimise non-essential travel, and stay in regular contact with the Pakistani Missions,” the statement added.
