Russia warns of strikes on German military production facilities

Germany “deserves a direct strike” on all German facilities producing military equipment for Ukraine, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said in a post on his Telegram channel.

His remarks came in response to accusations by Berlin against Moscow over a drone incident at Leipzig Airport.

“They (Germany. — ed.) deserve a direct strike on all German military equipment production facilities for the Bandera clique. And quite possibly, on some other places in Berlin as well,” he said.

Earlier, Medvedev said Berlin had made unfounded accusations over an alleged attack on Leipzig Airport. Against what he described as the German leadership’s “Russophobic and neo-Nazi course,” the politician said, the purported act of sabotage appeared to be “too mild an excuse.”

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova had previously said that the German government was deliberately undermining all the positive elements that had accumulated in bilateral relations with Russia over decades.

In particular, Germany has announced that it will close the Russian Consulate General in Bonn effective September 18.
