Moscow says 8,670 drones approached region over past month

A total of 8,670 drones headed toward the Moscow region between 8:30 a.m. on August 1 and 8:30 a.m. on September 1, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.

Most of the drones were intercepted by air-defence forces at long range, while another 795 unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed as they approached Moscow, he said.
