10 January 2026 10:58
Andranik Kasaryan, former Head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Development at Yerevan Municipality, has been formally accused of embezzling municipal property valued at $360,000.
The criminal case has been transferred to court, the Prosecutor’s Office confirmed, Caliber.Az reports.
Authorities note that Kasaryan’s alleged misconduct is part of a broader investigation into the unlawful acquisition of assets. As early as 2023, the supervisory authority had petitioned the court to seize 19 real estate properties and approximately $1.2 million from Kasaryan, citing them as illegally obtained.
