Türkiye, US coordinate regional objectives, foreign minister says
Türkiye and the United States share a significant convergence of interests in the South Caucasus, particularly in efforts aimed at promoting regional stability and peace, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said.
Speaking to reporters, Fidan stated that Ankara’s objectives in the region align closely with those of Washington, noting that the United States is exerting pressure on Armenia to move toward a peace process, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The foreign minister pointed out that cooperation between Türkiye and the United States is especially evident in matters related to the South Caucasus, where both countries pursue overlapping strategic goals.
Fidan also observed that similar diplomatic dynamics are unfolding across a number of other regions, including Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Syria, underscoring what he described as a broader, interconnected geopolitical process.
