Military ties, regional security dominate discussions between Baku and Ankara photo
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defence, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, met on October 9 with Türkiye’s Minister of National Defence, Yaşar Güler, as part of his official visit to Türkiye.
According to Caliber.Az, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence, the meeting was held in Ankara. Both sides noted that the brotherly and strategic allied relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye continue to develop successfully across all areas, including in the military sphere.
The ministers underscored that the expansion of Azerbaijani-Turkish military cooperation remains a key focus for the leaders of both nations.
They also highlighted the importance of such meetings for strengthening bilateral ties and expressed confidence in the ongoing successful development of their partnership.
During the bilateral discussions, the parties exchanged views on a range of current issues related to cooperation in the military, military-technical, and military education fields.
They also reviewed matters concerning regional security, sustainable peace, and stability, along with other topics of mutual interest.
