Moldova to impose duties on goods entering Transnistria

The Customs Service of Moldova has said that all goods and cargoes entering Transnistria from the country will now be subject to duties.

"All economic agents, including those from the Transnistrian region, will pay customs duties on general grounds," a statement by the service said, Gazeta.ru reports.

It also explains that the innovations are related to the entry into force of the provisions of the Customs Code No.95/2021, which replaces the earlier Customs Code No.1149/2000, the Law on Customs Tariff and the Law on the order of import and export of goods from the territory of the Republic of Moldova by individuals.
