Moldova urges cancellation of events featuring Russian artists

Moldova’s Ministry of Culture has advised event organisers to stop working with several high-profile performers, including singers Oleg Vinnik and Diana Arbenina, as well as comedian Nurlan Saburov.

The ministry made the statement in a Facebook post, describing planned events involving the artists as “inappropriate," Caliber.Az reports. 

It recommended that organisers terminate existing contracts in order to avoid potential last-minute cancellations if the performers are unable to enter the country.

“We emphasise once again that cultural institutions and event organisers are responsible for carefully assessing the public impact of their invited guests, including any potential risks,” the ministry stated.
