Morocco to purchase batch of Merkava tanks from Israel ...on condition not to transfer them to Ukraine

Morocco will soon buy a batch of Israeli Merkava tanks for its armed forces.

TASS informs citing news portal 360 that Morocco along with Cyprus will become the first buyer of Merkava tanks outside of Israel. The deal is expected to go through within the next few months.

The portal also claims that Morocco will buy the Merkava tanks on Israel's condition, without the right to transfer them to Ukraine.

Rabat earlier denied the information published in the media that Morocco had handed over to Ukraine more than 70 T-72B tanks, which were upgraded by Excalibur Army company in the Czech Republic.
