Multiple hits recorded as Russia launches 82-drone attack on Ukraine
In the early hours of October 13, Ukraine was targeted by another large-scale Russian drone attack, involving 82 unmanned aerial vehicles, including Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of attack drones.
According to Ukrainian media reports, citing the Ukrainian Air Force (AFU), the drones were launched from the directions of Orel, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. Approximately 50 of the drones were identified as strike-capable Shaheds.
By 09:00, Ukrainian air defence forces had intercepted or neutralised 69 drones across the northern, eastern, and southern regions of the country.
Despite these efforts, 13 successful strikes were recorded at seven locations, and debris from downed drones caused damage at two additional sites.
The assault is ongoing, with Russian UAVs still active in Ukrainian airspace.
