Musk accuses OpenAI CEO of "scamming on a whole new level"

Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has sharply criticized OpenAI CEO Sam Altman following Apple’s lawsuit against OpenAI, saying Altman “takes scamming to a whole new level” and could face criminal liability, WCCFTech reports.

Apple has accused OpenAI of unlawfully using trade secrets and technologies related to future devices. According to the company, more than 400 former Apple employees joined OpenAI, while former Apple design executive Tang Tan allegedly asked job candidates to bring actual Apple components to interviews.

Amid the allegations, Musk renewed his criticism of Altman, claiming that he had appropriated a nonprofit open-source project and is now “stealing Apple’s phone technology.”

Altman responded by mocking SpaceX’s plans to develop orbital data centers, describing the initiative as a “short-term idea for investors.”

Musk fired back, promising that the system would be launched next year and adding that Altman would be able to evaluate the project if his “parole officer” allows it.
