Musk offers to fund legal defence for those speaking out in Epstein case
American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk has said he is willing to cover the legal costs of individuals who publicly share truthful information related to convicted sex offender and financier Jeffrey Epstein and are subsequently sued for doing so.
Musk made the statement on the social media platform X, where he said he would pay for the legal defence of anyone who speaks the truth about the case and faces legal action as a result, Caliber.Az reports.

Musk himself has appeared in recently released Epstein files. One letter, dated January 31, 2013, included a note stating that Musk had inquired about visiting Epstein’s private island earlier that month. Musk has denied any connection to Epstein, stating that the claim in the letter was false and that he declined any invitations to visit the island.
On January 30, the US Department of Justice released an additional tranche of Epstein-related files, including approximately three million pages of documents, more than 2,000 videos, and about 180,000 photographs. Portions of the materials were redacted to protect the personal information of victims.
Epstein was arrested in the summer of 2019. He had previously pleaded guilty to charges related to organising prostitution and was convicted in 2008 of raping a minor. He later faced federal accusations of trafficking women and girls, including minors. In August 2019, Epstein died by suicide in prison at the age of 66, before his trial could take place.
Ghislaine Maxwell, a longtime associate of Epstein, is currently in custody after being convicted of aiding and abetting sex trafficking.
