Nearly 30 Russian strikes leave two dead in Ukraine's Sumy

Over the past 24 hours, Russian attacks on several regions of Ukraine have caused multiple casualties and significant damage.

In the Sumy region, two people were killed, and a woman was injured and hospitalised as a result of Russian strikes. Oleg Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, reported that Russian forces carried out nearly 30 attacks across 20 settlements in 12 communities.

Damage was recorded in the Myropil and Krasnopillia communities, including private vehicles. In the Sumy community, civil infrastructure buildings were destroyed or damaged. In Shalyhynska, a private home was completely destroyed, while an infrastructure facility sustained damage in Seredyno-Budska. The air raid alert in the region lasted for 7 hours and 45 minutes.

Meanwhile, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian drone strikes killed one person and injured two others. Vladyslav Haivanenko, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, confirmed that a man was killed in the Zelenodolsk community of Kryvyi Rih district during an FPV drone attack. The strikes also damaged a gas pipeline.

In the Nikopol district, two men aged 23 and 39 were injured and received medical treatment. The attacks affected Nikopol, as well as the Marganets, Pokrovska, and Chervonohryhorivka communities. Reports indicate that infrastructure, an agricultural enterprise, a private home, power lines, and vehicles sustained damage.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian attacks over the past 24 hours injured three people. Russian forces have conducted hundreds of strikes across settlements in the region.

Additionally, overnight strikes hit the Koriukivka district of the Chernihiv region, targeting a civilian facility and causing a fire.
