Norway set to boost financial aid to Ukraine
Norway is planning to raise its financial aid to Ukraine to $2.6 billion.
If approved by the Norwegian government, the funds will be allocated to Kyiv by the end of this year, Caliber.Az reports per Norwegian media.
Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre stated that he will discuss the proposal with party leaders on November 28.
On November 21, Norway's Defence Ministry announced that Norway would allocate 500 million Norwegian krone (approximately $45.3 million) to support Ukraine's defence industry.
Norwegian Defence Minister Bjørn Arild Gram noted that these funds will be used to accelerate the production of weapons and military equipment in Ukraine.
On November 15, Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov stated that Norwegian authorities had expressed their willingness to allocate funds for the production of weapons and military equipment in Ukraine. Denmark would provide $1.4 billion to fund the defence industry in Ukraine in 2025.
