Norwegian political analyst and professor Glenn Diesen has warned of a potential escalation between Russia and the West following reports that Ukrainian forces are using British-made drones to conduct strikes deep inside Russian territory.
“Britain makes another step toward nuclear war, as The Sunday Times reports that British drones are now used for deep strikes inside Russian territory,” Diesen wrote on X, Caliber.Az reports.

The Sunday Times previously reported, citing sources in the Ukrainian military, that Ukrainian forces had begun using British-made drones for long-range attacks inside Russia.
The newspaper identified the drones as Nyan systems, manufactured by Callen-Lenz in Wiltshire, England. According to the report, the drones may have been used in attacks on oil refineries in Russia’s Volgograd and Yaroslavl regions.
Russian military analyst Yuri Knutov said the design of the Nyan drones makes them difficult to detect. However, he added that Russia’s Pantsir air-defence systems are capable of engaging such targets.
