NYT: Witkoff, Kushner in near-daily contact with Russia, Ukraine

US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff and the president's son-in-law Jared Kushner are in near-daily contact with Russian and Ukrainian officials as part of efforts to help resolve the conflict, The New York Times reports, citing sources.

According to the report, Witkoff and Kushner have held in-person meetings with representatives of both countries, and the two are also prepared to travel to Russia or Ukraine if needed to discuss the next steps in the peace process.

Following a relative easing of tensions in the Middle East, media reports have increasingly suggested that Witkoff and Kushner could resume mediation efforts on Ukraine.

However, no dates for possible visits have been announced.
