Official: Liberation of Ukraine's Kherson changes course of war, attitude towards Russia in world
Adviser to the Head of the Ukrainian presidential office Oleksiy Arestovych has said that the liberation of the right-bank part of the Kherson region by the Ukrainian Armed Forces was another blow to the Russian military campaign, which discredited Russian leader Vladimir Putin among the representatives of Russian society.
“The liberation of Kherson and the entire right bank of the Dnieper changed the course of the war, Russia, and the attitude towards Russia in the world. Once you are lucky, twice you are good. Russia has withdrawn its troops for the fifth time,” RBC-Ukraine reports citing Arestovych's statement on Feygin LIVE.
He noted that the Ukrainian Defence Forces forever destroyed the Russian role of the "paratrooper at the fountain", which was "the main principle in the Russian Federation".
“When this “paratrooper” is attacked, it is inappropriate to talk about greatness. Everyone understands this,” the adviser added.
He also pointed to three components of the Russian leader's ideology built on such aspects as:
- army
- Putin having no alternative
- sacred Russia
“There are no top two aspects anymore. The army was discredited after the Kharkiv operation, and Putin - after the Kherson one. The last aspect of sacred Russia will be broken after different groups of Russian elites begin to see the future of the Russian Federation differently,” Arestovych said.
He also added that the future liberation of Luhansk, Donetsk, or Crimea by the Ukrainian Armed Forces could be the reason, but “the regime can collapse much faster”.
