Oman’s sultan meets Egyptian FM to discuss regional stability
Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq, received Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Badr Abdelatty on March 16 along with members of the Egyptian embassy at Al-Baraka Palace, the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on X.
During the meeting, the leaders exchanged greetings and extended wishes for the health and prosperity of the peoples of both countries. They discussed the current regional situation amid ongoing military operations and considered the potential impacts on national interests and sovereignty, Caliber.Az reports.

The Sultan of Oman and the Egyptian minister highlighted the importance of coordinating regional and international efforts to reduce tensions, halt escalation, and strengthen security and stability in the region.
Also attending the meeting were Oman’s Foreign Minister, Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi, and the Egyptian Ambassador to Oman, Yasser Mohammed Ahmed Shaban.
