One killed, eight injured in Russian attacks on Ukraine's Donetsk region
One person was killed and eight others were injured in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine over the past 24 hours as a result of Russian attacks, Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration wrote on Facebook.
According to him, the fatality occurred in the city of Druzhkivka, Caliber.Az reports.
"On May 31, one person was killed in Druzhkivka. Eight more people in the region were wounded over the past 24 hours," Filashkin said in a statement posted on Facebook.
According to regional authorities, the latest casualties bring the total number of people killed in Russian attacks across the Donetsk region since the start of the full-scale invasion to 4,092, while 9,540 others have been wounded.
The figures do not include casualties from the cities of Mariupol and Volnovakha, where obtaining verified data remains difficult due to Russian occupation and the scale of destruction.
