One killed, one injured in Russian drone strike on gas station in Ukraine’s Sumy

One person has been killed and another injured in a Russian drone strike on a gas station in the Sumy region of northeastern Ukraine, according to regional prosecutors.

The Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office said the attack resulted in the death of a 26-year-old man, while his 54-year-old father was injured in the same incident, Caliber.Az reports via ASTRA. 

The strike reportedly targeted a gas station in the region, causing casualties among civilians present at the site.

Authorities have opened a pre-trial investigation into the incident, classifying it under war crimes provisions resulting in death.

The investigation is ongoing as officials document the circumstances of the attack and assess the extent of the damage.
