One killed, three wounded as Russia launches 655 strikes on Zaporizhzhia
Russian forces carried out 655 strikes on 41 settlements in Ukraine’s southeastern Zaporizhzhia region over the past day.
According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration, one person was killed and three others were wounded in attacks on the Polohivsky and Zaporizhzhia districts, Caliber.Az cites his Telegram.
Fedorov said the strikes included 24 air attacks targeting multiple communities, including Veselyanka, Huliaipilske and Zaliznychne.
In addition, Russian forces launched 361 drone strikes — mostly first-person-view (FPV) unmanned aerial vehicles — across dozens of towns and villages. Four multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) strikes hit the town of Huliaipole and the settlement of Zaliznychne.
Artillery bombardments accounted for 266 of the reported strikes, hitting several frontline communities.
Authorities recorded 60 reports of damage to residential buildings, vehicles and infrastructure facilities. Emergency services are continuing to assess the aftermath of the attacks.
