06 November 2023 11:51
More than 20 people were killed in Sudan after shells hit a market in a suburb of the capital, Khartoum.
The fighting between army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and his former deputy Mohamed Hamdan Daglo has been ongoing since April, according to The Times of India.
The conflict has resulted in over 10,000 deaths and 5.5 million people being displaced, according to estimates by the United Nations. The actual toll is believed to be higher as many of the wounded and killed do not reach hospitals or morgues.
