Over 700 attacks hit Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia, leaving five civilians wounded
Civilians were wounded following another wave of attacks on the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia and surrounding settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, which came under sustained bombardment over the past 24 hours.
The region was subjected to intensive strikes involving aircraft, drones, multiple-launch rocket systems, and artillery.
According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, five people sustained injuries as a result of the attacks. He said that a total of 705 strikes were recorded across the region within a single day, affecting 25 settlements.
Russian forces carried out 19 airstrikes targeting Zaporizhzhia and other populated areas. The largest share of the attacks involved unmanned aerial vehicles, with 406 drones of various types — predominantly FPV drones — used against a number of settlements.
In addition to the drone and air attacks, authorities documented five strikes using multiple-launch rocket systems, as well as 275 artillery attacks across the region.
Regional officials reported receiving 248 notifications of damage, including to residential buildings, vehicles, and critical infrastructure facilities.
