Pakistani forces kill 10 militants in twin operations

Pakistani security forces have killed at least 10 militants in a series of counterterrorism operations carried out in the provinces of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to local media reports.

In Balochistan, the operation took place in the Khud Kocha area of Mastung district, where six militants were killed in an exchange of fire. Security forces also destroyed militant hideouts and detained accomplices, including women described as suicide bombers.

In a separate operation in Bannu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, four militants were killed during a joint raid involving police, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), and rapid response units. Authorities said five additional suspects were taken into custody.

Two police officers sustained minor injuries during the operation. Officials reported the recovery of weapons and ammunition at the site, along with the destruction of two militant hideouts.

Telecommunications and internet services were temporarily restricted in parts of the Bannu area during the operation.
