Pakistani PM meets Qatari emir in Doha
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held talks with Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on April 15 during a visit to Doha, where the two leaders discussed regional and international developments, particularly the situation in the Middle East.
According to a statement from the prime minister’s office in Islamabad, the Emir of Qatar expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s role in supporting efforts to reduce tensions and encourage diplomatic engagement aimed at strengthening regional security and stability, AP reports.
The statement added that Sharif condemned attacks against Qatar and other Gulf states and reaffirmed Pakistan’s full solidarity with the Qatari leadership and its people.
Both leaders emphasised the importance of de-escalation and stronger international coordination to maintain regional stability, including ensuring the uninterrupted flow of global energy supplies.
