Pakistani Prime Minister to visit Russia next week, official says

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to visit Russia next week, Mushahid Hussain Syed, head of Pakistani Senate’s Defence Committee, said during the Moscow–Islamabad media forum.

“Next week, the Prime Minister of Pakistan will visit the Russian Federation,” Syed said, emphasizing the significance of the trip, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

He described the upcoming visit as historically important and a key step toward strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Russia.

Earlier, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Moscow, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, had indicated that the Prime Minister planned to visit Russia in early 2026, signaling a continuation of diplomatic engagement between the two nations.
