Pashinyan opts to restore military balance with Azerbaijan
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said there are "serious programmes to restore the disrupted military balance with Azerbaijan".
He was responding to Vigen Khachatryan, an MP from the ruling Civil Contract faction, during the discussion of the government programme, Caliber.Az reports quoting Armenian media.
The MP said there was a very big gap between the two countries in terms of military capabilities and asked what the government was doing to reduce this gap.
"We have developed very serious programmes to restore the balance, but we will not discuss them publicly," Pashinyan said.
The Armenian prime minister added that he was ready to discuss national security issues in private not only with the ruling faction but also with opposition MPs.
