Russian army downs over 120 drones in latest Ukrainian attack
Russian air defence systems destroyed 122 Ukrainian drones on the night of July 16 to 17, according to the Russian Ministry of Defence.
A breakdown of the interceptions shows that 43 drones were shot down over Bryansk region, 38 over Kursk, 10 over Oryol, and six each over Smolensk and Voronezh regions, Caliber.Az reports
Additionally, five drones were downed over Belgorod, three each over the Moscow region, Kaluga, and Crimea, two over Leningrad and Lipetsk regions, and one drone was intercepted over Tula region.
In a previous such incident, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported destruction of eight Ukrainian drones on the night of July 15 to 16 over various regions of Russia as well as above the Sea of Azov. Six unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were intercepted and shot down over the waters of the Sea of Azov.
