Pentagon: Russia will take 10 years to rebuild military capabilities

Russia in the next 10 years will have to deal with the restoration of its military potential, rather than its development.

US Deputy Defenсe Secretary Colin Kahl made the statement at the Manama Dialogue forum, TASS reports.

"As for Russia, we see on a daily basis the limitations of its military equipment and capabilities. Frankly, it will spend the next decade or more focusing on rebuilding its military rather than maintaining defence partnerships around the world, even if you have confidence in its equipment," he said.

He also urged US allies in the Middle East not to develop military-technical cooperation with Russia and China and to refrain from relations with both countries.
