Plane carrying Pelosi arrives in Taiwan

The plane of the US Representatives House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has landed in Taiwan.

Pelosi's visit to Taiwan is part of the House Speaker's tour of Asia, Gazeta.ru reports.

Pelosi is expected to hold a video conference at his hotel on the morning of August 3, as well as visit the island's legislature, hold talks with Taiwanese chief executive Tsai Ing-wen, and attend a welcome dinner at the historic government mansion for honoured guests.

According to Taiwanese media, Pelosi may stay in Taipei until 18:00 on August 3 (12:00 Baku time), a floor in the five-star Grand Hyatt hotel was booked for her delegation.

At the same time, the Taiwan administration did not officially comment on the possibility of Pelosi's visit and his program.
