US Navy pulls warships from strategic Bahrain base amid rising tensions
The US Navy has pulled its combat vessels from its key base in Bahrain, the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet in the Persian Gulf.
No American military ships remain near the Bahrain base, signaling a strategic dispersal of naval forces, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
Officials described this move as a standard precautionary measure designed to enhance fleet security during times of heightened threat. The increased regional alertness was further highlighted on June 17 when air raid sirens were tested throughout Bahrain, indicating a heightened state of readiness amid growing tensions. Moreover, Iranian authorities have officially notified Britain, the United States, and France that if these countries support Israel in repelling attacks, their military and strategic assets in the Middle East and Persian Gulf region will face the threat of Iranian retaliatory strikes.
