PM: Azerbaijan to allocate $11.2 billion for Great Return to liberated lands
Prime Minister Ali Asadov has said that Azerbaijan will allocate 19.2 billion manats [$ 11.2 billion] to ensure the Great Return of Azerbaijanis to liberated lands.
Asadov made the remarks at the parliament's plenary session on December 9, Caliber.Az reports.
"The first state program of return to the liberated territories has already been approved. According to preliminary estimates, the implementation of the development strategy will require 32.7 billion manats [$19.2 billion], of which 19.2 billion manats will be spent to ensure the Great Return to the liberated territories," he said.
The prime minister stressed that the great return to the territories liberated from occupation has great symbolic significance for Azerbaijanis.
"We are proud that two years ago our historical lands were liberated from occupation under President Ilham Aliyev's leadership. After the glorious victory in the 44-day Patriotic War, by his decree signed in 2021, taking into account global economic processes, the president approved national priorities for social development until 2030. This ensures the stability of the country's economy for the coming years," he added.
