Poland, Sweden conduct first joint drills in Baltic: Gotland Sentry
Poland and Sweden are holding their first-ever joint military exercises in the Baltic, named Gotland Sentry, according to a statement by the Polish Armed Forces.
“The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces, together with the Swedish Joint Command, is conducting the first bilateral SNEX-type exercise (short-notice exercise) under the codename Gotland Sentry,” the Polish military stated on its official website, Caliber.Az reports, citing Polish media.
The manoeuvres are being conducted at sea, on land, and in the air, though details on the number of units involved have not been disclosed.
These joint Polish-Swedish exercises come following the military cooperation agreement signed between the two countries in early September.
